Do we ever stop caring about the little things?

The older you get do you start to care less about stupid stuff? I remember 10 years ago, when my game was in its prime, I cared about certain things. I kept clean shaved, I tried to dress well and I kept neat. As the years went on, I didn't worry so much about keeping up with trends and making sure I looked good in my gear. Now, I care less if I roll to the store with brown work socks, shorts and sandles. You want to call me a tool? Cool, I care less. I don't care if my cell phone is archaic either and looks like Zach Morris gave it to me.
So as the years keep going by, are there things about life that I'll continually stop caring about? I have no doubt there will be. The one that perplexes, or should I say kinda worries me is the one that old people have down pat. What is it with old people and their ability to shrug off a mean fart in public without giving a rats? I don't ever want to go here. I've seen it plenty of times, but today blew me away. I was standing behind an old lady at Linens and Things when I heard the wettest of all rips. She didnt so much as blink differently. Did she know? I mean if you don't hear it, you gotta at least feel it or smell it, right. Dude, I was beside myself. She carried on like it was part of her daily routine. They all do. I've never seen one old dude ever pull up and be like, "oh shit, wasn't expecting that."Maybe when your that old, worrying about a lot of things let alone blowing ass in public went away 30 years ago.
